Pujol . Wernicke Duo
By luck or fate, Carlos Wernicke began studying guitar with Máximo Pujol when he was 10. Pujol would turn out to be his music teacher for many years, and almost three decades after their first meeting these two Argentine guitarists are reunited, playing their own compositions, tango classics, and Argentine music as a dialogue between old friends.
The Pujol-Wernicke duo is the result of a long friendship between a teacher and his student. The depth of their relationship can be felt in the coherence of their interpretations and the attunement to each other’s musical vision. Their original repertoire, features works dedicated to each other, unpublished pieces for two guitars and arrangements and transcriptions of tangos and various other Argentine pieces.
